Well we are back in lockdown again and even though it feels a little different this time it still means more time at home. I'm going to post some at home ideas for weekends and evenings.
I have read in a few places recently how helpful embracing the changing seasons can be and we seem to have had a really beautiful Autumn this year. I know I've really noticed the colours more and been more appreciative of nature and time spent outside.
So before the weather gets even cooler and we get totally bombarded by all things Christmas lets appreciate the last few weeks of Autumn with these ideas to play, notice, enjoy and explore.

Baker Ross who sell art supplies for children have free Autumn themed colouring to download here: Autumn Printables. I've used their kits quite a lot and really like the Autumn wreath kit.
Lots of Autumn themed craft ideas here - some use leaves and pinecones that you might be able spot out walking.
I love this rainy day idea to make scented play dough with spices from the Imagination Tree. Anna's instagram has lots of seasonal play ideas too.
The Woodland Trust has brilliant seasonal activity ideas here , you can also search to find your local wood for a walk. They also have seasonal nature hunt ideas here. The Canal & River Trust have some ideas for Autumn nature to spot and you can download a guide to your walks near your local waterways.
If you are heading out for a walk why not print or screenshot my nature treasure hunt to help you notice the Autumn colours.
Days out with the kids have posted lots of outdoor ideas this autumn; if you want to stay close to home my favourite idea is these cheap and easy bird feeders to make.
The darker nights are a great chance to try out stargazing. Jodrell bank can tell you what to look for here.
Enjoy the last few weeks of Autumn and the changing seasons (it will be frost & fairy lights soon) and enjoy what time you can outside.
Stay safe.
Sarah
